*We have been advised that a Tower will be placed near KWIS Elementary School
Tower will be placed on Kwis and Kennard. Less than 300 Feet from Manzanita Park and Kwis Elementary school, where children are SITTING 5 to 6 hours a day, 5 days a week. Exposed to Radio frequency Radiation. Cell Phone Towers should not be placed where are children are learning and playing.
We need to know facts and studies.
I believe these towers haven’t been around long enough to know LONG TERM Effects.
I cannot take that risk when it comes to our children, 10, 20, 30 years down the line.
We have learned a lot about the background and politics of this project. It is time we put some of this information to work for us.
At our meeting we discovered legally, the planner only needs to place a small small ad advising of the tower to residents of Hacienda Heights .
The ad was placed in San Gabriel tribune and La Opinion. We learned that only 51 postcards were mailed to last recorded homeowners in the 500 Ft radius of tower. Even though Kwis Elementary has 362 students. WE learned they have other locations but like Kwis and Kennard the best.
Most important, we learned since only one Hacienda Heights resident was at meeting at Manzanita Park and none at hearing. It passed.
The Hacienda La Puente school district has paid for an appeal. We are now waiting for NEW Meeting and Hearing!! We must not let it pass this time!
We need to show there are residents present and disagree with this tower!
PLEASE. We need support and signatures for our petition.

*I have been living in Hacienda Heights for 2 years now and I LOVE IT!!!! i love the church i go to (St. John Vianney), i love the people, i love the fact that everything is close by i.e. schools, groceries, malls. but I would love it even more if hacienda heights has its own dog park where dogs can run free without leashes. I have seen a lot of dog owners here in hacienda heights and I think the residents will truly agree with me that we need a dog park.
If you have pictures you would like to submit, links to schools, links to high school reunions (in Hacienda Heights) would like to advertise on this site, please contact us at: firstname.lastname@example.org
